Traditional Art: Somnia in Tabula

Tue Jul 19 2022

Pencil, ink, and other pigments on physical canvases. Paintings to charcoal pieces.

Scapegoat (2024)
Inspired by Goat and Suckling Child, this piece was made to represent my feelings towards my immigrant parents, the good and bad feelings. The good mother, bad mother psychological concept was utilized in making this composition. The child is bound and unable to be free because of all the responsibilities at home.

Inactive Grief/Four Seasons (2023)
A piece grieving and appreciating my old traditional Chinese painting teacher, who passed two years before I found out. His teachings stayed with me and I am still able to draw the way I was taught by him.
