Janice Shen is a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in New York City. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Fine Arts at Parsons School of Design. Her practice explores themes of yearning, the body, relationships between others and the self, and the natural cycle of life and death. She works through a range of media from drawing, physical garments, to film.
The works speak on personal experiences and sentiments, reflecting on transformation, perception, and tension. Fragility, vulnerability, and emotional residue present themselves in these pieces. Janice often takes inspiration from everyday life and other forms of art around her.
